Careers

Associate Director/Director

Changing Our World is a philanthropy firm that knows management, and a management firm that knows philanthropy.  We have extensive experience in designing, building and managing the implementation of strategic initiatives that enable nonprofits, foundations and corporations to achieve their philanthropic goals.  We are seeking to meet individuals that share our vision and have a desire to join our family.

Changing Our World is the only firm in the sector that has four primary service areas – fundraising, corporate social engagement, research and analytics and digital.  While each of our service area provides specific expertise, our true strength is in our ability to combine all four areas to deliver results – organizational, programmatic and financial – for our clients.  Our clients include some of the largest nonprofit organizations in the country and Fortune 200 companies and their Corporate Social Responsibility divisions.

Headquartered in New York, we also have offices in Boston, Dallas, Pittsburgh and Washington D.C. and various project locations through the country.  As a member of Omnicom Group (NYSE: OMC), the world's largest and most diversified communications company, Changing Our World has access to the best communications, public relations, and branding expertise available to assist our clients in taking their fundraising and philanthropic initiatives successfully into broader public realms. We are the only firm of our kind that is part of a Fortune 200 company.

An Associate Director or Director position at Changing Our World is akin to a project or account manager at a management consulting firm.  This position will require domestic travel.  The successful candidate will have:

  • Two to seven years of experience
  • Skills in creating and managing complex workplans tied to specific project outcomes
  • Experience working with and reporting to mid-level and senior executives, and managing junior staff
  • Experience converting project findings to clear presentations for managers and clients
  • Some experience with strategic, financial or business planning
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical and organizational skills, capable of working effectively with board members, staff members, volunteers, consultants and donors/prospects
  • A team player with an attitude of service and ability to motivate others
  • Ability to quickly adjust to changing and often unexpected circumstances and expectations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (including full competency in Excel) and familiarity with CRM systems (Microsoft Dynamics)
