Shawn M. Trahan

Shawn has more than 20 years of experience working within the nonprofit sector, including planning/directing major capital campaigns, fundraising feasibility studies, development audits/assessments, volunteer coaching and board development and serving as interim development director.  Since Shawn’s arrival at Changing Our World, she has provided leadership and guidance to the Roman Catholic Foundation of Eastern Missouri on the planning and implementation of a multi-million dollar campaign raising in excess of $107 million, the Diocese of Dallas raising in excess of $130 million, and to the Diocese of Camden.

Shawn has worked in various areas of the nonprofit sector, with a focus in providing counsel to the Catholic Church (i.e. dioceses, parishes, Catholic schools, and related organizations).  Prior to joining Changing Our World, Shawn’s experience placed her in leadership roles providing campaign strategic planning and implementation and feasibility study counsel to a variety of organizations, including the Dioceses of Greensburg-PA, Diocese of Orlando-FL, Diocese of Springfield-IL, Diocese of Nashville-TN, Archdiocese of St. Louis-MO, Diocese of Tallahassee-Pensacola-FL, Diocese of Biloxi-MS, Diocese of Charlotte-NC, Diocese of Belleville-IL, Diocese of Paterson-NJ, Diocese of Raleigh-NC, as well as organizations in the education and social service sectors.

Shawn is a resident of Houston, Texas.  She earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Southern University and A&M College.
