Workshop: Navigating the Many Roles of Today’s Corporate Citizenship Practitioner

  1:00 pm EST - 5:00 pm EST

As the corporate citizenship field becomes more sophisticated, and less siloed, the role of the corporate citizenship practitioner has become a balancing act. Positions that were once seen as internal subject matter experts have increasingly become about connecting the dots on the company’s social impact to the activities and goals of functions across the entire company.

Today’s citizenship practitioner is both a social impact expert and an expert internal “aligner.” It’s tough work. But the good news is you still get to be the bearer of good news. A strong citizenship program is an asset to help your company solve some of its most elusive challenges, from attraction and retention of talent, to building reputation and trust among key audiences.

Changing Our World is very excited to be facilitating an interactive, half-day workshop on Wednesday, December 4th on Navigating the Many Roles of Today’s Corporate Citizenship Practitioner.

As the pre-conference workshop for The Conference Board’s 2019 Corporate Philanthropy and Social Impact Conference, the workshop is designed to bring corporate citizenship practitioners together, along with expert guidance and best practice examples, to brainstorm in practical terms how we can best meet the varied and growing expectations our companies have of us, while also serving our purpose to have the greatest possible positive impact on society.

Note: while attendees for the full conference are encouraged to attend the workshop, you do NOT need to attend the full conference to register for the workshop.

In addition to facilitation from the leaders of Changing Our World’s Corporate Social Engagement practice, workshop participants will hear from seasoned citizenship and CSR leaders from S&P Global and Prudential Financial, as well as a CSR communications and reporting expert from FleishmanHillard. And, there will be plenty of time for interaction and idea-sharing with your peers attending the workshop, as well as an industry trivia game to liven things up!

You will leave armed with:

  • Stats and facts to “make the case” for your work—and further investment in it—to various internal stakeholders
  • Expert insights and ideas from your peers for how to overcome obstacles
  • A personalized plan to reach the stakeholders you need to do your job well
