Maureen Flynn

As a leader of the Corporate Social Engagement practice at Changing Our World, Maureen has nearly 15 years of experience establishing and implementing effective partnerships between corporations and nonprofits. Maureen brings a strong background in program design, employee engagement, grantmaking and cause marketing to her position at Changing Our World and her client experience represents an array of sectors and industries, including organizations such as Avon, BNY Mellon, ConAgra Foods, MillerCoors, Philips, Phillips 66, TD Ameritrade and Xylem.

Maureen also specializes in developing corporate outreach strategies for nonprofit organizations. With a strong understanding of how nonprofits can leverage their assets to be seen as a strong partner, Maureen has worked side-by-side with organizations such as Ascension, the Greater Boston Food Bank, The OASIS Institute, SOS Children’s Villages and the YMCA of Greater New York to develop outreach and cultivation strategies with leading corporate funders.

Prior to joining Changing Our World, Maureen served as the associate specialist of corporate social responsibility for Canon U.S.A. Inc. In this role, Maureen was responsible for managing Canon’s nonprofit partnerships with organizations such as the Yellowstone Park Foundation and the National Environmental Education Foundation. Maureen also helped plan the Canon Envirothon, one of North America’s largest environmental education competitions. In addition, she was responsible for overseeing the company’s community relations initiatives, employee volunteer activities and in-kind giving program, as well as helped to implement the company’s first cause marketing campaign, partnering with the American Cancer Society.

Before joining Canon, Maureen worked for Toshiba America Foundation where she made funding recommendations and managed grant projects that support mathematics and science education in K-12 classrooms nationwide. Maureen also served on the Social Contributions Committee convening six Toshiba America Group companies and serving as a liaison to Toshiba’s headquarters in Japan.

Maureen earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications from the State University of New York at Oswego. She currently serves as a member of the Oswego Alumni Association’s board of directors and as a member of the Leadership Council for the Women’s Fund of Central New York.
